Event Details

Our film series for adults returns on Monday, June 27 at 2:00pm in the library's community meeting rooms. The library will show the film Jeremiah Johnson (1972). The film series will continue every fourth Monday of the month at 2:00pm.

Jeremiah Johnson is about a Rocky Mountain trapper, who assimilates with Native Americans in the 1820s, but becomes a legendary Indian killer after the Crow tribe kills his family in retaliation for leading the U.S. cavalry on a rescue mission through a sacred burial site. The film stars Robert Redford, Will Geer, and Stefan Gierasch.

Join our film critic, Tom LaVille, for a great discussion after the movie, as well as free popcorn and lemonade. This event is free and open to the public, aged 18 and over. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library.
