Event Details
World Read Aloud Day is an international celebration of picture books and reading aloud. Joa will share some of her top favorites, that have been gone back to year after year, as well as fingerplays, and songs. Storytime is held on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and features approximately 20 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays on a theme. Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and children of all ages are welcome to attend with a caregiver. Storytime is often followed by playtime with toys and/or sometimes a craft or science activity in the Blue Room.
*This program is for families and groups of fewer than 8 unrelated kids. Larger daycares or preschools interested in storytime, please call 641-754-5738, ext. 3 to check for options.
Storytime is mostly held year round, with the exception of the months of May and August (and occasional breaks during holiday weeks).
