Program Description

Event Details

Stories, songs, and fingerplays about families and friends we love, including our furry friends (with a visit by an adoptable animal from the ARL at the end of storytime.) Storytime is held on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and features approximately 20 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays on a theme. Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and children of all ages are welcome to attend with a caregiver. Storytime is often followed by playtime with toys and/or sometimes a craft or science activity in the Blue Room.

*This program is for families and groups of fewer than 8 unrelated kids. Larger daycares or preschools interested in storytime, please call 641-754-5738, ext. 3 to check for options.

Storytime is mostly held year round, with the exception of the months of May and August (and occasional breaks during holiday weeks). Our severe weather policy follows the school district (if school is delayed or cancelled, due to weather, storytime will also be cancelled.)
