Event Details
This storytime will feature guest presenter, Bill of Marshall County Conservation, with stories and great information in celebration of bees.
Storytime will be held outside on the West Lawn (rain or excessive heat location: large meeting room, if available). Storytime features stories, songs, fingerplays, and hands-on activities. In the summer, storytime is geared toward 3-6 years old, but families and all ages of kids who would enjoy the program are welcome. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket or towel to sit on, and lawn chairs are allowed around the edges of the storytime area. Storytime is free and requires no pre-registration (groups planning to bring more than 8 kids should call 641-754-5738, ext. 3 to check for options) Balance boards, hula hoops, and other active toys are available before and after storytime for kids to play with.
A free sack lunch (for ages 1-18 years, as supplies last) through the Marshalltown School District's summer lunch program, for an after-storytime picnic on the lawn.
