Our film series for adults continues on Monday, March 25 at 2:00pm in the library's community meeting rooms. The library will show the film Dead Poets Society (1989). The film series will continue every fourth Monday of the month at 2:00pm.
Dead Poets Society is a 1989 American coming-of-age drama film directed by Peter Weir and written by Tom Schulman. The film, starring Robin Williams, is set in 1959 at the fictional elite boarding school Welton Academy, and tells the story of an English teacher who inspires his students through his teaching of poetry.
Join our film critic, Tom LaVille, for a great discussion after the movie, as well as free popcorn and lemonade. This event is free and open to the public, aged 18 and over. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library.
