Stop the Bleed Training

Unity Point Health--Marshalltown is holding a Stop the Bleed training class on Thursday, October 16 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the library's community meeting rooms.  Stop the Bleed is a national campaign that trains, equips and empowers bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.

This is a hands-on course, and you'll train to be an "immediate responder" who helps save the life of someone experiencing traumatic bleeding. There's no minimum age requirement, although we want parents/guardians to know there are some graphic images and content in the presentation.
