PRE-REGISTER: Explore the impact of an oil spill and experiment with different ways to clean-up this kind of environmental disaster, with Emerson staff and volunteers at this free annual Emerson "We Love STEM" event. Kids (entering 1st grade through 8th grade) will get to see Emerson's liquid separator device, explore the impact of oil spills on animals and nature, as well as experiment with ways to mitigate these effects.

Please pre-register online or by calling 641-754-5738, ext. 3 by Monday, July 31 at noon.
Free summer lunch will be served after this program.

This year's Emerson STEM theme is sustainability (Take-Home kits to make your own compost available on a first come, first serve basis starting 7/24). Pick up your kit (as supplies last) anytime the library is open at the youth desk at the library.
