Program Description
Event Details
Did you know October is Arts & Humanities month? To celebrate, the library is hosting an altered books program!
Take an old book that has outlived its usefulness or timeliness, and use it as a canvas for artwork, the basis of a sculptural or functional object, or whatever else you can create!
To participate, sign up at the library's Information Desk. We have books you can choose from, or you could use your own book, a thrifted book, etc.
Return your project to the Information Desk before 6:45pm on Wednesday, November 19 if you would like it displayed at the Altered Books Reception.
The reception will be on Friday, November 21 at 5:30pm - participants' projects will be on display, and there will be refreshments served. See you there!
For questions or further information, please contact the library's Information Desk at 641-754-5738 ext. 4.
