Our film series for adults continues on Monday, November 27 at 2:00pm in the library's community meeting rooms. The library will show the film A Man Called Otto (2022). The film series will continue every fourth Monday of the month at 2:00pm.

A Man Called Otto is a 2022 American comedy-drama film directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by David Magee, about a bitter old man reluctantly getting involved in the lives of his neighbors. It stars Tom Hanks in the title role, with Mariana TreviƱo, Rachel Keller, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2015 Swedish film A Man Called Ove, which was based on the 2012 novel by Fredrik Backman.

Join our film critic, Tom LaVille, for a great discussion after the movie, as well as free popcorn and lemonade. This event is free and open to the public, aged 18 and over. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library.
