Is Small Talk for you? Come to the blue activity room for a free orientation and chance to register for this free class, which will be offered mostly via Zoom (on a phone or computer), with a couple in-person sessions for families, plus a graduation party! Receive a free book for attending, whether or not you decide to register for the class.
Parents have the power to jumpstart their baby's brain development. Small Talk is a 10 week series of classes designed to help you create an enriching language environment for your child (ages 0-30 months). Each family receives free books and educational toys for participation. Participation also earn for Stork's Nest points (for families who qualify).
This class is for parents, but this is a flexible and friendly group where babies on the lap or children nearby is understandable and expected. During in-person sessions (which can be made up, if needed, via Zoom), you can bring your little ones and they can play during class.
You must be registered to attend; space is limited. Call 641-754-5738, ext. 3 or message here for more info on how to sign up.
This project is sponsored by ISU Extension & Outreach, Marshalltown Public LIbrary, and the LENA Research Foundation, with support from IRVECA.
