The Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library will hold its annual book sale on Friday, September 18 from 5:00-7:30 PM (Friends Member Preview Night); Saturday, September 19 from 9AM-3PM;  Sunday, September 20 from 1-5PM; and Monday, Septemb

The library board of trustees normally meets on the third Tuesday of the month, but will meet on the fourth Tuesday in September 2026 due to the Friends of the Library book sale happening the previous week.

Library staff will take half hour appointments to answer questions or assist with personal devices. Appointments will be available every Thursday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
