Event Details

Jen Loeb, the first woman from Iowa to summit Mount Everest, will give a presentation at the library on Sunday, June 12 at 2:00pm.

Loeb will discuss her climb of Mount Everest, including photographs and a video from her climbing expedition. She'll also bring her mountain climbing gear and answer any questions about her mountain climbing experience.

Jen started mountain climbing in 2010 and has since climbed peaks all over the world. After scaling Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011, she signed up for mountain climbing school and conquered six of the seven continents’ tallest summits ( "The 7 Summits") before the pandemic prevented her from taking on the seventh and final summit of Mount Vinson in Antarctica until January 2022.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the library's Information Desk at 641-754-5738 ext. 4.
