Run Silent, Run Deep (1958)

Our film series for adults continues on Monday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Marshalltown Public Library’s community meeting rooms.

Our March film is Run Silent, Run Deep, a 1958 war film starring Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster. The film follows a submarine commander and his executive officer who clash during a search-and-destroy mission against a Japanese ship responsible for the sinking of another United States submarine. The film also stars Jack Warden, Brad Dexter, and Don Rickles.
