Join the library at Midnight Garden (1501 S. 17th Ave., Marshalltown) for a free celebration of Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day) with children's activities, MHS Latin dance group, plus a free book for each child to keep. Food trucks will also be available with food for purchase from 1 to 6 pm.
The Marshalltown Public Library was the first library in Iowa to host Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros, with the help of many community partners, and held the event at the library, with hundreds of people attending every year until the pandemic.
