The Blank Park Zoo will bring some animals for kids to see and learn about. This program will be held inside the large meeting room, with mostly floor seating for kids. There will be limited chair seating for adults and people unable to sit on the floor. This program is geared toward kids old enough to sit and listen in an educational setting. Younger children attending with their families, can sit on laps, or families can take younger ones out to the youth area, while older siblings attend the program.
This program is free, and does not require pre-registration for families or for groups of fewer than 8 children. As is library policy, daycares or programs wanting to bring more than 8 children should call ahead to the youth desk at 641-754-5738, ext. 3 to check for options and guidelines.
