Register to receive free eclipse glasses to safely* view the Monday, April 8 total eclipse, which is estimated to be visible (depending on weather conditions) between approximately 12:45-2:30 in our area.

You may pick up your eclipse glasses at the Youth Services desk anytime the library is open between Monday, March 18 and Monday, April 1. The library is open Monday-Friday, 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday and Sundays, 1-5 pm. (Please note: The library will be closed on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31 for the holiday weekend.) If possible, please try to pick up earlier than 15 minutes until closing.

The Marshalltown Library Youth Department applied to receive these glasses, as a part of NASA's StarNet library network. An educational information and activity sheet is also available to pick up with the glasses. We will accept requests for glasses after this registration period, as supplies last.
