Mario Gaming Party: 5th grade through teen

This Mario-themed gaming event will offer youth the chance to play different Mario video games (on Nintendo Switch) as well as do some hands-on Mario-themed activities in between gaming turns. This free program is being offered in partnership with the esports students of Marshalltown Community College. 

Pre-registration is required, either by filling out the registration link here, or by asking at the youth desk (in person or at 641-754-5738, ext. 3). Please NOTE: there are two events listed on the online calendar. This one is for 5th grade through teen. There is a separate event registration for 1st - 4th grade. Please be sure to register for the correct age group. 

During the event, the Blue Activity Room in the Youth Department will be available for imaginative play for younger siblings of families who want to remain in the building while an older child is participating in the gaming event. Please be aware that due to the high energy and attendance expected, only youth who are registered will be allowed to be in the meeting room during the gaming event. If you are a parent or caregiver of registered youth and feel it is important for you to remain in the room in a supervisory role, please let us know. Younger children will not be permitted in the meeting room during this event.
