Join us on the West Lawn for this special storytime performance: Colombian/Panamanian duo Calle Sur will present a family program about Kibungo, a legendary beast from the Brazilian rain forest. When Kibungo develops a plan to catch and eat several rain forest animals, they are saved by one among them who manages to outsmart Kibungo. This interactive, high-energy musical theater program shows how smart thinking can overcome physical limitations. Through song and the use of simple musical instruments, the audience will play an important role in saving all the animals which Kibungo wants to eat!
Please bring a blanket or towel to sit on. Lawn chairs are welcome at the sides or back of the crowd seated on the ground. In case of rain, we'll be in the large meeting room. Free summer lunch will be served at 11 am, free for all ages of kids and may be eaten picnic-style on the lawn or there are a limited number of picnic tables.
Please call the youth desk at 641-754-5738 with any questions about this program.
